An strange day

That morning I got up early. I went to the bathroom to take a shower. After that I ate some biscuits with a glass of milk. You could see the darkness of the street across the windows. The street was empty; everybody was sleeping at this time. While I was walking to my car I could heard my own footstep.

When I arrived to the airport it was different. There were a lot of people running and chatting. My plane had to leave the city two hours later. I came to my window to board. While I was waiting in the queue I saw a man in my same line that reminds me somebody known. After a while I realized that was my best friend when I was a child.

We were very friends but his parent changed his job and they left the city. We haven’t met another time from that moment. I don’t know the reason but I didn’t say anything to him.

I came to my meeting. During the dinner with my colleagues, I can’t forget the situation. When I arrived to my hotel I wrote a letter to my parents asking why the life transforms the people, why the people only think in work and why the people can live a lot of time without showing their feelings.

This is a real or invented situation? Whichever it is, it's a very nice story. Who haven't an old missing friend? Work is fight, humans always fight, it is life! ;-)

Interesting ideas, even though you should watch your expression.

Pay attention. We'll correct these in class!

Hi kayser_soze_,

thanks for your comment!

I don't know if people will keep listening to M. Knopfler, or Dire Straits as you say.
If the won't I hope it is because there are better music than Knopfler's. For example, 'Sultan of Swings' can't be forgotten. If nowadays people listen to Beethoven or Mozart's songs, in 2080, at least, that one has to be alive.

About your post, I've found it very good and very current.
I think it is a common situation nowadays. In cities, we live very fast, very stressed, we always running for the results and not enjoying meanwhile getting them, and, to cap it all, we live surrounded by a lot of people we scarcely know.
Maybe these group of situations make us a little colder and, as you say, it seems we have no feelings.

Hi Kayser Soze,

Thanks for your comment, How was the costillada??
This situation is a little bit sad. It happened to me, no with a best friend but with old friend and it's a pitty. What is the reason?? Are we so shy?

Bye!!

Hello Kayser_soze !

I’m Bluephie. You’ve asked me in my blog what I do in my Council... In fact, I do a lot of things! I work as a manager of the citizen service and, among other functions, I must prepare elections but I think that you’re right, actually I like my work... but obviously sometimes it’s stressful...

Anyway I think your “a strange day” is very interesting, because many of us think the same: why people change? Why people thought so much about the work? Well, I don`t know but I suppose we must try to look for alternatives or choices and try “to disconnect” or “to unplug” more often... Maybe our society is becoming very cold... it’s a pity...

See you!
